The Year As A House
I lay my head to rest,
and in doing so,
lay at your feet
the faces I have seen,
the voices I have heard,
the words I have spoken,
the hands I have shaken,
the service I have given,
the joys I have shared,
the sorrows revealed,
I lay them at your feet,
And in doing so
Lay my head to rest

This scripture calls us to reflect on our own gifts and offerings, those of others and how these uniquely contribute to a whole community, which must contribute to the goodness of all people. The current circumstances we live in may have changed how we interact with others and them with us. It has, in many ways, disrupted the formations and ways in which our communities are structured. Is there something unique that we can learn from this?
Has God made you aware of something different or new about yourself or others?
Take a few deep breaths, allow yourself to arrive at this moment. Let go of all your expectations. Spend some time answering these questions.
What is something you discovered about yourself in the last year?
What are you grateful for?
Which three people have impacted you the most in the last year, and how?
