Patrick Hornbeck is professor of theology at Fordham University, where he is also a student in the Law School. Trained at Oxford as an historian of religion, Hornbeck's current work sits at the intersection of law and religion in the contemporary U.S.
Prof Hornbeck will address ideas such as government sponsorship of religious activities like church schools; religious exemptions from antidiscrimination rules; and, religious exercise by state employees like public school teachers, in a free webinar hosted by the Jesuit Institute South Africa. Join Prof Hornbeck and Fr Russell Pollitt SJ online on Tuesday 31 May at 19h00 – 20h15.
