We believe that one of the greatest acts of God’s love for us was the incarnation; when Jesus was made flesh and shared in our humanity in all things but sin, and He died for our sins. God loves us unconditionally.
God has
given us freedom. We are free to do what we believe is good for ourselves. We are free to choose God if we want to, free to choose good. We are cautioned against using this gift of freedom for selfish needs and desires, we are invited to use this gift to serve one another with humility and love (Gal 5:13).
God has given us power to overcome evil. God has given us the authority over those that wish to bring us
harm. He has given us the power and freedom to decide how we are going to actively participate in the building of His Kingdom. We are able to face challenges head on and rise even in the most difficult situations of our lives; this is the power that comes from God.
God has given us dignity. We are all valuable because we have been created in this way by God. We must believe this so that we can begin to treat
others with the same dignity.
God has given us the spirit of courage. He constantly tells us in scripture to not fear, but to be bold and confident in all that we do because we do not walk alone, God is with us.
It is important to remember that God gives these gifts gives to all. May our actions reflect the Lord’s holy name as we continue to use the many gifts we have received for ourselves and those around
us.
I invite you today to spend some time reflecting on the many great things the Almighty has done for you; and how you can use these for the benefit of others.
