Have you ever felt excluded? Unwanted? Uninvited? Unable to connect with others?
We begin our week by hearing that God says God wants us to feel loved and welcome as we are, and to feel free to love others as they are. What’s
more, God is going to send Jesus to remove any obstacles that are holding us back from living fully, by showing us how infinitely eternal this love is.
God wants you to come just as we are! God doesn’t care if are the President, or unemployed and homeless. God isn’t concerned if you are well educated, or have never had any formal teaching. God is not hung up about your gender, your race, your political
affiliation or even if you have been to church. God plain and simply wants you to come with Jesus to be part of God’s family.
This is the good news of the Gospel. God reaches out to everyone.
This message needs to be heard not only by those searching for God or some form of meaning to life, but also to be taken to heart by those
who already know God and the gift of love and freedom that comes through Jesus.
Somehow in our modern Church there are some communities who are not welcoming of people who don’t quite “look like a good Christian person should”. Perhaps today’s message is an invitation to be freed from the shackles that may keep us from sharing the gift that makes us complete.
Are you struggling to accept that you or someone else is loved by God?
Do you want to experience a life free of judgement and the need to defend who you are?
Are you already living in the grace-filled freedom of God’s perfect love?
