When we experience a deeper relationship with Jesus, it leads to a change in the way we live our lives. More than anything else, we want to live in a way that brings glory to God.
The Thessalonian church was concerned about whether they were getting this right. It is a concern many Christians still share. However, we can take comfort in the fact that we do not serve Christ in our own strength. Instead, we share the privilege and responsibility of Jesus living within us. In other words, stay focused on Jesus, and He will show you how. This is why it is essential to living as part of a Christian community so that we can support, encourage and
hold one another accountable through Christ's gifts.
We have been reminded through Zacchaeus how Jesus draws us to Himself and how that leads to a deep desire to live in a way that glorifies God; it seems appropriate to end this week in thanksgiving.
