Wisdom is essential to help us navigate life. We may overcome the challenges we face when we employ our knowledge. Our understanding allows us to choose what is suitable for our lives and what could destroy our lives. We make choices about our careers, relationships, and participation in society. This is good.
St. Paul encourages us today not to rely too much on our wisdom as all we are and do is possible through the power of God. So much is impossible if we rely solely on our limited understanding.
We are encouraged today to let ourselves be vulnerable so that we might notice the power of God at work in our lives.
We are invited again to notice our tendency to praise others and things in our lives because they have helped us somehow. This is not being ungrateful or taking them for granted. It helps us realise that those people and things assist us because of the power of God working through them. We are invited to praise the source, God.
How might you rely more on God’s power rather than your own wisdom? What is God inviting you to let go so you can trust in Him fully? Spend a few moments reflecting on this and ask the Lord to
help you to notice.
