“It is written in the Prophets: ‘They will all be taught by God.’  Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from him comes to me. No one has seen the Father except the one who is from God; only he has seen the Father.  

Very truly, I tell you, the one who believes has eternal life.”

Jesus desires that we hear and feel God's ‘tug’ in our hearts, turn to him, and be willing to be taught by him. 

Jesus further promises that as we come to him, are taught by him, and follow him, we will gaze upon and know the Father because he comes ‘from God’. 

The result of following Jesus and learning from him is that our lives will be transformed into God’s image again so that we can be just as the Father intended us to be. We will see the image of God in human form in Jesus and desire to match that image.

We respond to God’s drawing and turn to Jesus, getting to know him as our friend. In the Son of God, we find the true pattern or model of the child of God. We desire more and more to be like him. As our lives are transformed into God's image and likeness in this way, we receive God’s gift of eternal life. 

It is a new day. In what way do you feel God drawing you to himself again today? How is God tugging at your heart?
