This single sentence from Jesus' lips, as recorded by John, is rich and invigorating. I invite you to contemplate what Jesus says to you in this sentence today.
Perhaps you can find ten minutes or so in your busy schedule to sit quietly and repeat these words of Jesus a few times out loud. Allow them to sink deep
into your being, and then allow the Spirit to lead your mind and heart in conversation with Jesus.
Think about this:
On the Cross, Jesus gave all that he is, all of the life in him, his holy human traits, and his glorious divinity. He did this so that you may have life in abundance and have this life for eternity. Jesus desires this for the whole world.
How do you feel? What is going on inside you as you think about this? Thank and praise Jesus for his great gift of true life.
What is your part in bringing this Good News to the world?
Record what happens in your prayer diary, and then act upon whatever Jesus has put on your heart today.
