John 8:1-11

This woman, caught in adultery, has been brought before Jesus to trap him. 

Jesus turns the tables on the Pharisees, challenging them to examine themselves and consider their sins. Their hypocrisy has been exposed. Are they willing to live up to the same standards they expect of others? Again, the need for humility and self-reflection is highlighted.

We experience these kinds of acts daily. Some are quick to impose their expectations on others but act contrary to them. An example may be the wealthy person collecting money for the poor who does not even drop a cent into the collection tin.

Let us look closely at our actions before we point out the faults of others.
