Isaiah foretells Jesus as the Prince of Peace, whose kingdom will bring justice and peace to all who follow him.
Jesus is always portrayed as being in favour of the marginalised, compassionate for the poor and suffering. Despite this, the poor and the suffering will be judged with righteousness, as everyone else will be. Faith
in Jesus is the measuring stick by which everyone will be judged. How we live out our faith in obedience to God will determine whether we are granted entrance into heaven.
As we journey towards celebrating the birth of Jesus at Christmas, let us reflect: When we are judged, will it show that we have lived our lives with faith, righteousness, and humility according to God’s
will?
