Jesus declares the beautiful climax of the harvest: "Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father." After the painful separation of the weeds, the true character of the wheat is fully revealed.
Throughout this earthly life, the righteous are often overshadowed, criticised, or
crowded by the weeds of this world. Their faithfulness is frequently hidden, and their sacrifices go unnoticed by society. But a day is coming when the glory of God reflected in his children will erupt brilliantly. Our current challenges, suffering, and incomprehensible experiences are not in vain. The hardships of living in a conflicted world are temporary, but the glory that awaits us is eternal and magnificent.
Jesus ends with the words, "Whoever has ears, let them hear," calling us to fully absorb this truth. It is an invitation to live today joyfully in the bright light of that glorious future reality. Let us hold onto this hope when we feel completely overwhelmed.
